BEMIDJI — Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society will host Building Fishing Families Workshops from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Nov. 19 and Dec. 10, at the Headwaters Science Center, 413 Beltrami Ave. NW.
Participants will make their own ice fishing rods and learn about angling techniques, safety, where to go fishing, fish habitats and lake ecology.
The workshops, for children in grades 5-12, are free but space is limited so registration is suggested and children must be accompanied by an adult. To register, visit spearheadmhas.org/events or for more information email jake.hcswcd@gmail.com.
