Lois Jenkins to present at BCHS Brown Bag History event

The Beltrami County Historical Society will host historian Lois Jenkins as the speaker for its Brown Bag History event at noon on Thursday, April, 21, at the History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW.

BEMIDJI — The Beltrami County Historical Society will host historian Lois Jenkins as the speaker for its Brown Bag History event at noon on Thursday, April, 21, at the History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave. SW.

Jenkins was introduced to Lake of the Woods and Northwest Angle as a camper at a teenage wilderness camp and will share stories of history, characters, and changes to life above the 49th parallel, a release said.

The event is free to attend but registration is recommended. Participants should bring their own lunch and beverage (coffee and water will be available).
