Frozen Ox 5K set for Feb. 5

The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department is collaborating with the Blue Ox Marathon to offer a Frozen Ox 5K on Saturday, Feb. 5.

BEMIDJI -- The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department is collaborating with the Blue Ox Marathon to offer a Frozen Ox 5K on Saturday, Feb. 5.

This is a fun run/walk and a timing clock will be available. Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Tourist Information Center, and the race starts at 10 a.m. A virtual run option is also available, a release said.

The first 36 participants will receive a winter hat. Awards will go out to the first three finishers in both male and female runners.

The cost to pre-register is $20. Same-day registration costs $25.
