BEMIDJI -- First Lutheran Church is set to host the Bach Society of Minnesota and Cantus, two choral groups based out of the Twin Cities, at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14.
During the concert, "Legends and Lies," Cantus and the Bach Society of Minnesota will tell the story of the mischievous Till Eulenspiegel as he crosses a battle-weary Europe during the Thirty Years’ War, rubbing shoulders with the ragged, the regimental and the royal along the way, a release said.
Both ensembles will perform separately and together for this program, highlighting the versatility of chamber music through repertoire, spanning five centuries, from Monteverdi to contemporary composer Michael McGlynn, the release added.
