Businessmen's Fellowship America to meet

BEMIDJI-The Bemidji Area Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship America will meet at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Lueken's Village Foods' meeting room,1171 Paul Bunyan Drive NW. Ethan Stinar will be the guest speaker. Born and raised in the Bagley area, Stinar will share his personal journey of returning to faith in Jesus Christ, a press release said.

Coffee, fruit, and rolls will be served.

Bemidji Area Aglow meets Dec. 9

BEMIDJI-Bemidji Area Aglow will meet on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Beltrami Electric, 4111 Technology Drive NW, from 10 a.m. to noon. With 20 years of experience in life coaching and personal ministry, Barb Juhnke teaches about why bad things happen to good people and how to break negative generational cycles in life, a press release said. The public is encouraged to come learn how to break these patterns and reclaim God's destiny for their families and future generations, the release said.

Calvary Lutheran Church hosts Christmas concert

BEMIDJI-Calvary Lutheran Church, 2508 Washington Ave. SE, will host a community Christmas Concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10. Those performing for the concert will include Deb McGregor, Anne Meredith, Kristi Tell-Miller and Miriam Tell, Kari Pickett and Rachel Munson, Bell Ringers from Calvary and First Presbyterian Church, Joe Vene, the Calvary Choir, and the Calvary Youth Jazz Group, among others. Treats will follow. Tickets are available in the Calvary church office or at the door. Suggested ticket price is $5. Community Remembrance Service planned

BEMIDJI-Sanford Bemidji Hospice, Cease Family Funeral Home and Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home are once again co-sponsoring the annual Community Remembrance Services from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, at United Methodist Church, 924 Beltrami Ave. NW.

The service will include a remembrance tribute, readings and special music performed by Sanford employees and community members, according to a press release.

Blackduck Advent Tea on Dec. 4

BLACKDUCK-All area women are invited to Zion Lutheran's annual Advent Tea to be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4 at the church. The program will be presented by Pastor Anne Meredith and by Becky Haugen's Blackduck music students.

Kelliher Community Advent Service

KELLIHER-A Community Advent Service and Christmas carol sing-along will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kelliher.

There will be special music by the Joel and Jamie Anderson family and the brief advent message "What Are You Waiting For?" by Pastor John Anderson. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.

Holiday Dinner planned at First Presbyterian

BLACKDUCK-A Holiday Dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at First Presbyterian Church in Blackduck, 23285 Gate Lane NE. There will be a turkey dinner with all the fixings and pie for dessert.

There also will be a bake sale and bazaar, a pick-a-prize raffle, make-and-take items for kids, and special music. All funds raised will be donated toward hurricane relief efforts in Texas, Florida, the Caribbean and Puerto Rico.

The cost is a free-will donation. There also will be the drawing for the quilt raffle; winners need not be present.
