Evergreen Youth and Family Services hosted its annual Evergreen Gala at the Hampton Inn and Suites on April 7, which raised $24,568.

The funds raised will help Evergreen continue to provide its services free of charge to youth experiencing homelessness and families in crisis in the community.

According to a release, around 160 supporters attended the event and enjoyed an evening experiencing what hope truly looks like for many of the youth and families that Evergreen serves.

A social hour was held, which included a silent auction, wine wall, mystery treasure box, selfie station, live music from Rhonda & Orlando, with decor and fresh flowers from Events + Designs by Briana Lynn. The Evergreen Experience, keynote speaker, and dinner immediately followed, with Marc Ricci as the MC, the release said.

Those in attendance watched a live interview with Evergreen’s Executive Director Ebony Warren Evergreen Shelter Program Director and Gary Russell.

Attendees then took a video tour of Evergreen’s Drop-In Center and Shelter locations, followed by a table activity that gave everyone time to learn about Evergreen’s services. The night also included Evergreen stories from youth and staff, highlighting testimonials from youth and the life change they’ve experienced, the release said.

Evergreen is a community-based organization committed to strengthening youth, preserving families, and building relationships in northern Minnesota.
