Faith briefs, March 8
TURTLE RIVER—Starting Wednesday, March 13, New Salem Lutheran Church will offer "Faith Discovery," a spiritual learning opportunity for youth and their families. Since many young families travel for various activities on the weekend and may not get to Sunday School as often as they would like, this midweek gathering similar to Sunday School was created for families to participate together. While the program is geared more toward children in the fourth grade and older, all are welcome. The "Faith Discovery" evenings are scheduled for the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month during the school year and begin with a simple supper at 5:30 p.m., followed at 6 p.m. by scripture readings, discussion and other activities to foster faith growth.
For more information, contact the church at (218) 586-2262. New Salem Lutheran Church is located in Turtle River, 10 miles north of Bemidji on U.S. Highway 71.
