BEMIDJI — The Boy and Girls Club will host National Night Out from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, in the field next to J.W. Smith Elementary School, 1712 America Ave. NW.
“America’s Night Out Against Crime is an effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie," a release said.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to come and enjoy a free dinner provided by the Boys and Girls Club while supplies last, the release said.
There will be activities for children along with local businesses and organizations providing information and resources. Law enforcement and emergency service vehicles will also be participating.
