BI-CAP staff and board members recently presented donated pajamas to representatives of Northwoods Battered Women's Shelter in Bemidji.
BI-CAP staff donated new pajamas in a variety of sizes at an all staff training held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Bemidji. The training included featured speaker Renee Rongen who founded the “Ultimate Pajama Party” that has donated over a million pajamas to domestic violence shelters, a release said.
Northwoods provides a crisis shelter, victim-center advocacy and supportive services for victims of intimate partner violence.
BI-CAP serves residents in Beltrami and Cass Counties experiencing barriers on their paths towards economic stability. Programs include Head Start, Energy Assistance, Supportive Housing, Weatherization and YouthBuild, the release said.
