Bemidji State faculty recital set for March 15

BEMIDJI — A Bemidji State faculty recital will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, at First Lutheran Church, 900 Bemidji Ave. N.

The program will feature Jenya Trubnikava, pianist and adjunct professor at the College of Saint Benedict, and Jennifer Olson, soprano and assistant professor of voice at BSU.

They will present a vocal/piano duo recital entitled “Songs of Innocence.”

It will feature poetry from around the world inspired by fairy-tale characters, nursery rhymes, and children’s stories in the music of Jaime Léon, Modest Mussorgsky, Françis Poulenc and Peter Cavell, a release said.
