BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Public Library, located at 509 America Ave., will host local author and traveler Polly Scotland at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Scotland will detail her new book, "The Adventurer and Her Husband," and take attendees on a journey to Arrowhead, western Lake Superior, Isle Royale and a few points farther afield, a release said.

Scotland lives near the headwaters of the Mississippi when she is not exploring the more remote regions of the world. She has been on hikes and kayaking trips in Minnesota, the Southwest, Nepal and Italy and loves to travel to out-of-the-way places with her husband, the release added.

The program will also be viewable on the library Facebook page .
