BEMIDJI — A Bemidji Convention of States Town Hall is set for 6:30 p.m. on April 27, at the Eagles Club, 1270 Neilson Ave. SE.
The goal of a convention of states is to bring power back to the states and the people, where it belongs, according to the organization's website.
"Unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. shouldn’t be allowed to make sweeping decisions that impact millions of Americans. But right now, they do," the site said. "So it all boils down to one question: Who do you think should decide what’s best for you and your family? You, or the feds? We’d vote for the American people every single time."
