Bemidji Area Reading Canine program announces new trainees

The Bemidji Area Reading Canine program is proud to announce three new teams that have completed the required training. They are Lauren Flier and Fenix, Lori Brama and Wynter and Sarah Erickson and Rudy.

The Bemidji Area Reading Canine program is proud to announce three new teams that have completed the required training. They are Lauren Flier and Fenix, Lori Brama and Wynter and Sarah Erickson and Rudy.

They will be joining the other BARC teams in serving children at the Boys and Girls Club of Bemidji, Heartland Christian Academy, Schoolcraft Learning Community, Horace May Elementary, Laporte School, Bemidji Middle School and the Bemidji Public Library.

Bemidji Area Reading Canines are therapy dogs who volunteer with their owners/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children, a release said.
