BEMIDJI -- Bemidji Contra Dance will hold a Musicians and Callers Workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at Headwaters Music & Arts, 519 Minnesota Ave. NW.

There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is encouraged.

Contra dancers who are interested in learning to call contra dances are invited to the workshop to work with Bemidji caller Wendy Greenberg. She'll go over the basics of teaching and calling contra dances and give participants a chance to try it out in a low-key way with musicians in the musicians' workshop. No calling experience necessary, but it's better if you've done at least some contra dancing.

There will also be a Community Contra Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 at the Rail River Folk School, 303 Railroad St SW. Cost is a free-will donation ($5-$10 suggested, but any amount is fine). No partners or experience needed, this event is open to the community.

Enjoy an opportunity to dance to live music with the O’Neil Family Band from East Grand Forks. Contact, for more information.
