The Bemidji Senior Center recently received a $2,500 donation from Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1260.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1260 will host a Pearl Harbor Dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Bemidji Eagles Club, 1270 Neilson Ave. SE.
Veterans at Adult Day Center in Bemidji were honored with a fried chicken dinner, cake, ice cream and an hour of music from a volunteer band on Tuesday, Oct. 14.

VFW cancels Pearl Harbor dinner

Veterans of Foreign Wars Commander, Bruce Malterud, recently presented a check and medal to Jake Atencio, a senior at Treknorth High School. Atencio received first place locally in the VFW Voice of Democracy Program.
BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Area Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1260 and Auxiliary will hold their annual Pearl Harbor Dinner on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Bemidji Eagles Club, 1270 Neilson Ave. SE. There will be a social hour at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m. followed by a program at 6 p.m.
KELLIHER -- The Kelliher Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold their monthly pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Sept. 8, at the Kelliher Community Center. The menu consists of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, orange juice and milk. The cost is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and children.
