Local photography contest set at mall

As part of Stars Over Paul Bunyan Mall and The World At Night Photography Exhibit, Paul Bunyan Mall will host a local photography contest featuring nighttime images of Bemidji.

As part of Stars Over Paul Bunyan Mall and The World At Night Photography Exhibit, Paul Bunyan Mall will host a local photography contest featuring nighttime images of Bemidji.

The contest, co-sponsored by Image Photography, will be held today, Sept. 6-Oct. 15. First, second and third prizes will be awarded.

Also part of Stars Over Paul Bunyan Mall will be an astronomy seminar, "Avenue to the Stars," sponsored by Image Photography, at 11 a.m. Sept. 12 in the center court area.

The event will feature guest speakers and exhibitors.

The World at Night Photography Exhibit, a collection of photographs of world landmarks from top night sky photographers from around the world, ends today at the mall, located at 1401 Paul Bunyan Drive N.W. The exhibit is being displayed in countries around the world; U.S. locations are primarily properties owned by Developers Diversified Realty, the parent company of Paul Bunyan Mall.
