SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The editor for the Sioux Falls Business Journal will join Forum Communications Co. as a health care reporter later this month.
Jeremy Fugleberg begins his role Monday, Aug. 26.
In the role, Fugleberg will report on the business of health care with a focus on trends, economics, policy and regulations, research and other aspects of the industry. The position will provide accountability reporting on Sanford Health and the health care industry on a regional and national level.
He joins Paul Scott, who was hired last month to provide similar reporting and focus on Mayo Clinic, as one of two journalists dedicated to health care reporting for the the family owned company, which is investing in journalism areas to meet its audiences’ interests and needs.
“To hire a journalist with Jeremy’s experience and talent is a boost to Forum Communications’ efforts in telling the important stories related to health care in our region,” said Steve Wagner, the company’s director of digital content development. “There are many aspects to health care that impact people on a personal level. Jeremy will find and tell stories that make a difference in people’s lives.”
Fugleberg has been editor of the Sioux Falls Business Journal, a division of the Sioux Falls Argus Leader newspaper, since April 2017.
Previously, he worked in various journalism roles for the Cincinnati Enquirer, Casper (Wyo.) Star-Tribune, Rapid City (S.D.) Journal and Watertown (S.D.) Public Opinion.
Fugleberg grew up in Fargo, N.D., and received degrees from South Dakota State University and the University of Kentucky.
He lives in Sioux Falls and will work remotely for Forum News Service.
