The Green Mill Restaurant and Bar of Bemidji recently received two major awards for 2009 from the Green Mill Corporation.
The Bemidji Green Mill received the Top Gun Award, which honors best overall guest service, and General Manager Derek Leach was named top general manager of the year.
"These awards are a great tribute to the hard work that every staff member puts in to provide a quality experience to our guests," Leach said in a news release. "We had a good idea that we would gain the Top Gun Award again, but the GM of the year was a great surprise."
The Top Gun Award is presented to one Green Mill Restaurant and Bar each year, based upon many different criteria of service.
Each restaurant is unknowingly reviewed twice monthly by judges posting as customers. The Bemidji Green Mill has received the award for two years in a row.

Green Mill Corporation selects the top general manager based on service scores, cleanliness of the property, restaurant profitability and general morale of the staff. The Green Mill system comprises Minnesota, Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
