Sanford Health welcomes Jake Tarnowski, MD, to the emergency medicine team

Sanford Health in Bemidji welcomes Jake Tarnowski, MD, to the emergency medicine team at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.

Dr. Tarnowski attended the University of Minnesota Duluth in Duluth, MN, for his undergraduate degree before attending medical school at the American University of the Caribbean located in St. Maarten.

Gaining valuable knowledge and skill set, Dr. Tarnowski completed his residency with the department of emergency medicine at Ascension St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, MI. Dr. Tarnowski has also achieved his board certification for PALS as well as ACLS and BLS from the Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in 2020. He also achieved his ATLS in 2018 at the Providence Hospital.

At Sanford, Dr. Tarnowski will be specializing in pre-hospital care and emergency care, assisting during patient transport, triage and stabilization.

“My idea of care is to provide patient-centered care which honors and respects the individual needs and values of the patient,” shared Dr. Tarnowski.

When he isn’t caring for patients in the ER, Dr. Tarnowski enjoys coaching lacrosse and enjoying the nature that Minnesota has to offer whether he is camping in the wilderness or fishing on one of the many lakes nearby.
