Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota welcomes Katie English, MD, to the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) team at Sanford Bemidji 1705 Anne Street Clinic.
Dr. English acquired her undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA. She attended the University of Minnesota’s medical school in Minneapolis, MN. Following medical school, she gained firsthand experience during residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH.
Before joining the ENT team at Sanford Health, Dr. English was a clinical research coordinator with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and an anatomy instructor in the Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner College of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. She has also published several research publications with the American Journal of Otolaryngology on topics such as pediatric ear foreign body retrieval and the Inspire hypoglossal nerve stimulator device for obstructive sleep apnea.
As an ENT physician, Dr. English is available for referral specializing in ear, nose, and throat care and surgery for adults and children including cancer screenings; ear surgeries; general ear, nose, and throat care; head and neck cancer surgeries and treatments; pediatric ear, nose, and throat surgeries; sinus surgeries and treatments; thyroid, parathyroid, and parotid disease surgeries and treatments.
“I’m a big proponent for patient education,” shared Dr. English. “I think it’s important to educate and empower my patients to take charge of their medical conditions.”
Outside of her practice, Dr. English enjoys fitness and spending time outdoors at the cabin. Most of all, she loves taking care of her precious new baby.
