FARGO, N.D. – During Lend A Hand Up’s inaugural Big Boost Week, $115,000 was raised to help local families facing serious health issues. The majority of gifts were made directly to family campaigns.
Additional boosts were raised throughout the week by support directed to the Lend A Hand Up program. Due to the generous community support supplemented by $15,000 of “Big Boost” drawings, many area families will begin the new year with much-needed financial help.
Lend A Hand Up is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit subsidiary of Dakota Medical Foundation. Since 2008 through online and in-person fundraisers, Lend A Hand Up has partnered with community members to raise nearly $19 million for 545 area families battling health issues.
