Nelson joins AirCorps Aviation
BEMDIJI -- Paul Nelson recently joined AirCorps Aviation in Bemidji as an engine overhaul specialist.
AirCorps Aviation is a world leader in warbird restoration, parts manufacturing and aircraft maintenance and employs 32 people in Bemidji.
Nelson instructed the High Performance Engine Machinist program at Northwest Technical College for 24 years and has served on the Automotive Engine Rebuilders Association Board of Directors. He received the 2005 Clevite Industry Supporter of the year award and was in the top 10 for the 2015 MAHLE Champion Technician National Competition. In 2016, Nelson was recognized as one of the top three automotive aftermarket teachers in the nation at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, and also has presented at national AERA conferences.
Nelson graduated from the automotive service program at Pine Technical College and
the automotive machinist program at Northwest Technical College. After working in
the industry for 14 years, Nelson obtained a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Bemidji State University and a master’s degree in higher education administration from St. Cloud State University.
