Lois Wanous, 80, of Owatonna, Minn., died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Homestead Hospice House. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church of Owatonna with the Rev. Dave Klawiter officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Michaelson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Bohemian National Cemetery in Owatonna. She was born Aug. 18, 1928, to LeRoy and Hedwig "Hazel" (Joecks) Krassin in Waseca, Minn. She was baptized Sept. 9, 1928, at Wilton Lutheran Church and confirmed July 4, 1943.
Anna W. Rock, whose Indian name is Omaayawibiikwe, 90, of Waubun, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, N.D. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Old Pine Point School in Ponsford. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at Old Pine Point School and continue until the time of the service Monday. David-Donehower Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. She was born May 19, 1918, to Dan G. and Mary (Dunn) White in Cass Lake. She was raised in the Leech Lake area. She married Reuben Rock Dec. 31, 1934.
Marcella R. Lussier, 76, of Minneapolis, formerly of Red Lake, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, after a short illness. A memorial service will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Monday at All Nations Church, 1515 E. 23rd St. in Minneapolis. Historic Thomson-Dougherty Funeral Home of Minneapolis assisted the family with arrangements. She retired after 44 years of service with the U.S. Post Office.
Sheila Mae Salmonson, 54, of Blackduck, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck with the Rev. Tom Reagan officiating. Burial of her cremains will be in Squaw Lake Cemetery in Squaw Lake in the spring. Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck is assisting the family with arrangements. Marjorie Fisher, age 88, of Bemidji, Minn., died Friday, February 6, 2009 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at St. Philips Catholic Church, Bemidji, Minn. with Fr. Antony Fernando officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 P.M., Monday, at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg, Mo. Arrangements are entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, Minn.
Marjory Naomi Hamilton, 97, of Minneapolis, formerly of Brooklyn Park, Minn., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She and her husband, Bob, previously owned Hamilton's Trailer Resort on Fox Lake in Bemidji. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia (Dan) Kaliher; four grandchildren; great-grandson; and brothers, Edward and George Ham. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Bill; brothers, James and Philip Ham; and sister, Marion Thaxter. Memorials are preferred to Jones Harrison Residence.

Verna Marie (Riles) Hubbard, 97, of Bemidji, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Bemidji with the Rev. James De Smidt officiating and the Rev. Raymond Klug assisting. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Lotis Floy Jackson, 87, of Colfax, Wis., formerly of Lake George, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at the Colfax Health and Rehab Center. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids, with her nephew, the Rev. Kent Dudley officiating. A visitation will begin at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. The Trinity Lutheran Church of Lake George will host a meal following the service. Burial will be in the Lake George Cemetery, next to her husband. Pallbearers will be Brian Lang, Michael Sabby, Brad Lang, Frank Gross, Brody Lang and Jason Bassett.
