John Daniel Mueller, 66, of rural Nevis, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at Mayo Methodist Hospital in Rochester. He was born on Sept. 10, 1942 at Credit River Township to Christopher and Agnes Virginia (Murphy) Mueller. He graduated from Prior Lake High School and lived in Prior Lake until November 2004. He was employed by Cargill Corp., Cardinal Drywall, and retired from Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. as a project supervisor in November 2004. He married Norrine Lee Dingman on Nov. 25, 1967 in St. Paul. They lived near Nevis since his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the St.
Beulah May Gain, 93, of Park Rapids, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Heritage Living Center. She was born to Dennis and Emma (George) Parks, on March 8, 1915 in Osage Township, Becker County. She attended the Green Pine Country School north of Osage and later attended Park Rapids High School. She married Vernon D. Pierson in 1933.
John D. Mueller, 66, of rural Nevis, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at Mayo Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Thursday, March 5 at Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Nevis with Pastor A.J. Kluver as officiant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Jerry Kruse, 77, of Bristol, Ind., formerly of Park Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2009. He was born in 1931 in Park Rapids. He was a long-time resident and worked in TV repair. He was a U.S. Marine Corps. veteran. He is survived by two brothers: Al and Bob; and a sister, Teresa. He was preceded in death by his son, Keneth.
Leo Thomas Gregerson, 86, of Park Rapids and Tucson, Ariz., died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 at home in Tucson. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Rincon Country West RV Resort Auditorium in Tucson, Ariz. Memorial Mass: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids, with Father Tom Friedl officiating. Music will be led by the St. Peter Apostle Alleluia Choir.
Dennis Nelson, 39, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 in Nevis. He was born to William and Alice Nelson and grew up in Tucson, Ariz. He was baptized at age 13 by his own request and was mentored in the Catholic faith by a family friend. He is survived by his mother, of Louisiana; and two brothers: Christopher, of Stillwater, and Michael, of Alabama. His cremains have been transported to Alabama for burial under the patronage and care of his brother, Michael. He will be remembered in prayers for the faithful-departed at Mass Sunday, March 15 at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church.
Dennis Dean Tranby, 62, of Nevis, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at home in a house fire. He was born Feb. 4, 1947 to Frank and Josephine (Trunic) Tranby in Deer Creek. He grew up in Deer Creek and graduated from school there before joining the military. He served in Okinawa, Japan during the Vietnam War. After the military he moved to Minneapolis, where he met his wife Kay. They were married on Aug. 23, 1969. In 1972 the family relocated to Nevis while he worked in Minneapolis during the week and came home on weekends.
Gregory Scott Tabatt, 34, of Goodridge, formerly of Little Falls, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 along with his dog, Chewey LaLewey, in Becker County. He was born May 31, 1974 in Little Falls to John Tabatt and the late Barbara Joan (Wyttenback). He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1992. He was self-employed, working various tree trimming jobs. He is survived by his father and wife, Jean, of Randall; two children: Tessa Rae, of Rice, and Travis Raymond, of Goodridge; siblings: Tim (Renne), of Little Falls, John (Pam), of St.
Suzanne Kathleen Cole, 37, of Park Rapids and Brooklyn Park, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. She was born Aug. 5, 1971 in Minneapolis to Roger and Kathie (Larson) Cole. She graduated from Osseo High School in 1989. She also graduated from North Hennepin Community College and St. Cloud State University with a BS degree in social work. She also had an X-ray technician degree from Hi-Tech Institute. Before her illness she was employed by DMS Imaging Company in Maple Grove.
Suzanne K. Cole, 36, of Park Rapids and Minneapolis, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday, March 2 at Hubbard United Methodist Church in Hubbard. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 1 at Cease Family Funeral Home in Park Rapids.
