CROSBY, Minn. — Rescuers saved a 21-year-old Crosby man trapped up to his armpits in a trench at a construction site late Thursday night in Crosby after receiving a 911 call that he was buried in a box. The emergency call came in about 11:09 p.m. but the man was unsure of his location.
WILLMAR, Minn. — The 24-year-old Raymond, Minnesota, man accused of trying to run his ex-girlfriend off the road earlier this week is now facing multiple felony and misdemeanor assault charges. Scott Aaron Schoenberg has made his first appearance in Kandiyohi County District Court. He has been charged with four felony counts of second-degree assault and one misdemeanor count of domestic assault.

ST. PAUL -- While drunk driving-related deaths continue to rise across Minnesota, a new report shows a steady decline for DWIs and drunk driving-related deaths over a 10-year period. There were 95 drunk driving fatalities in Minnesota in 2015, up from the 88 reported in 2014, the report issued by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. However, there has been an 8 percent decline over the last five years since 103 were killed in drunk driving accidents in 2011.
CROOKSTON -- Court documents filed last month against a Grand Forks man detail his and others’ alleged involvement in trafficking cocaine in northwest Minnesota.
DULUTH, MINN. -- A 43-year-old Wadena man was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl when she was 7 or 8 years old. Shane Anthony Spicer, 43, was convicted Wednesday on two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct after the jury deliberated for about six hours, according to the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office. The maximum sentence for first-degree criminal sexual conduct is 12 years in prison.
