The reward offered by private donors for information that would lead to the identification of the person who shot and killed 41-year-old Terrance Brisk has been increased to $30,000. The reward started at $10,000 and in early December increased to $20,000.
VIRGINA, Minn. — Last month's officer-involved shooting of an Iron Range man following a vehicle pursuit has been ruled justified. St. Louis County Sheriff's Office Deputy Tim Officer fired a single shot at 27-year-old Aaron Lee Boshey of Tower on Nov. 22. Law enforcement had attempted to arrest Boshey for an outstanding warrant when he fled from a Virginia gas station, according to documents.

Sanford Health announced this week it will open a new clinic in Park Rapids spring of 2017. The Sanford Health Park Rapids Clinic will be located in the three-story building at 110 Seventh Street West. A faulty furnace vent likely caused the buildup of carbon monoxide in the garage, which killed Tom Elkin, a cabinet maker, authorities said. DEERWOOD, Minn. —The Minnesota State Patrol reported a driver died Monday after troopers responded to a crash on Highway 6 near Deerwood in north-central Minnesota.. The crash occurred at 4:08 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Highway 6 and County Road 133, northeast of Placid Lake. A 2001 GMC pickup truck was traveling north on Highway 6 when it went off the road into the west ditch and crashed into a tree before coming to a stop.
PEQUOT LAKES, Minn. --- A 73-year-old Pequot Lakes man, who was injured in a motorcycle crash last month, has died of his injuries. Norman L. Armstrong died Wednesday night at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office. Armstrong was driving a motorcycle that struck another motorcycle about 1:45 p.m Nov. 6 on Highway 18, east of Brainerd. The other motorcyclist was John R. Johnson, 64, of Crosby.
