Kittson County, Minn. -- A young woman was taken to the hospital after a truck rolled on top of her. Minnesota State Patrol says 20-year-old Tierny Knapp of Lancaster, Minn. was going south on Highway 75 just outside of Humboldt, Minn. around 9 p.m. on Wednesday night. She lost control, slid onto the shoulder and rolled. The truck ended up on its wheels with Knapp underneath. She was taken to Altru hospital, but is expected to be ok.
ST. HILAIRE, Minn. — A Thief River Falls, Minn., woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday in Pennington County. Mary Louise Reierson, 62, died of injuries she received in a crash that happened at 4:50 p.m. about 2 miles north of St. Hilaire, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. She was driving a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country north on Minnesota Highway 32 when she met a southbound 2004 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Julie Rose Good, 18, of Thief River Falls.
THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn.—Police here are asking for the public's help tonight, in searching for a missing man. Eighty-year-old Orvin Sund went missing about 11 a.m. Tuesday Sund, who has dementia, was last seen about 4 p.m. on the outskirts of town. People have been looking throughout the day. Police tonight are asking everyone to check their property.
AUDUBON, Minn. -- A clerk at Orton’s Convenience Store in Audubon reported being robbed by two males wielding knives just after 1 a.m. on Valentine’s Day. The clerk was not injured, but the males fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash and various convenience store goods, according to a press release from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office. Several officers responded, with the Audubon Police Chief arriving on scene just minutes after the report was made.
DULUTH — The body of a Minnesota National Guard member reported missing this past weekend has been found. Joel Costa, a 32-year-old National Guard member from Fredenburg Township, did not report for duty Saturday morning. He was last seen in Superior, Wis., at about 11:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.

Brandon Silgjord of the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office said Costa reportedly had his bags packed for his weekend drill duty but never showed. The Sheriff's Office reported Sunday night that Costa's body was found along with his vehicle at about 7 p.m. on a rural road north of Duluth.
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- A driver found sleeping in his vehicle on Interstate 94 Friday morning, Feb. 10, led officers on a chase that topped 110 mph through Douglas and Pope counties. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office did not identify the suspect, who was arrested after his vehicle was stopped using spike strips. The chase started after a deputy responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the right lane of Interstate 94 at 6:09 a.m.
MITCHELL, S.D. -- The manager of a Mitchell video game store was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 8, after he allegedly hid money and video surveillance in the store's lowered ceiling in what police say was an attempt to steal more than $1,600. Aaron Cooper, 34, of Mitchell, was charged with grand theft after allegedly hiding cash and bank deposits in the video game store's ceiling and calling police to report the incident as a robbery, the Mitchell Department of Public Safety said in a press release issued Thursday morning.
DULUTH -- Duluth police officer Richard LeDoux was on patrol in the eastern part of town Monday night when a passerby waved him over. The person wanted to report what appeared to be an injured owl on the roadway in the busy intersection of 21st Avenue East and Superior Street. "They thought it had maybe been hit by car," LeDoux told the Duluth News Tribune. But as LeDoux pulled up and prepared to call a local animal rescue organization, the barred owl jumped onto the hood of his squad car.
