ST. PAUL -- A Minnesota court has ordered an Indiana company to refund nursing students' test fees. Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson sued the company, The College Network, Inc., in November. The company sells exam study guides to help students who want to become registered nurses pass exams for college credits through an online degree program at Excelsior College in New York. At least 800 Minnesota residents enrolled in the company’s services.

ST. PAUL — Minnesotans registering and renewing license tabs or transferring ownership of motor vehicles and motorcycles will need to provide insurance information beginning Jan. 1. The Legislature changed state law to require insurance information for vehicle registration. Prior to the change, the law required owners to attest that the motor vehicle or motorcycle was covered by an insurance policy during the registration process; but the specific policy information was not required.
BERTHOLD, N.D.—A missing 7-year-old boy was found in a window well after an hours-long search when his school lunchbox was spotted near the scene. The search was initiated when the boy didn't show up at home after school Friday.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- A Detroit Lakes woman has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for stealing several televisions from Walmart. Tonya Love Lee Arthur, 36, was found guilty of felony theft and sentenced to one year and one day in prison. She was also fined $1,000 and will pay $790.00 in restitution.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Fire and ambulance crews pulled an injured worker from a 40-foot hole at a construction site here Friday. The injured man was removed from the narrow hole and put on stretcher around 12:40 p.m.
VADNAIS HEIGHTS, Minn. -- A Blaine woman who died after driving in the wrong lane on Interstate 694 in Vadnais Heights has been identified as Samantha Pereira, 46. The accident happened about 6:30 p.m. Thursday night on I-694 at Labore Road, according to the State Patrol. A Mitsubishi Outlander was heading west in the eastbound lanes when it sideswiped a Chrysler minivan. The Mitsubishi then struck a wooden guardrail and went off the road.
EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn. -- Seven people have been charged on felony drug and other charges in connection to a large-scale drug trafficking operation in East Grand Forks.
