KINDRED, N.D. -- A school bus driver was hospitalized Friday morning after a Kindred School District bus and a semi truck collided near here amidst heavy fog.
ST. PAUL – Drunken driving arrests and fatalities are continuing a five-year downward trend, said the Minnesota Department of Public Safety Thursday. The recently released Minnesota Impaired Driving Facts 2014 report shows impaired-related traffic fatalities dropped to 91 in 2014, down 24 percent compared to 121 in 2010 leading to the five-year downward trend.

GILBY, N.D. -- A woman sustained serious injuries in an overnight house fire near Gilby in Grand Forks County. Robyn Brusegaard of Gilby was transported to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks after the fire, which was reported about 1:30 a.m., and then transported by air ambulance to an undisclosed burn unit, according to a report from the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Department.
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Tim McGraw has been added as a headliner for next year's WE Fest. McGraw will join fellow headliner Eric Church, previously the only act announced, though it wasn't announced who will play which night. The festival takes place Aug. 4, 5 and 6 at the Soo Pass Ranch near Detroit Lakes.

PILLAGER - A 56-year-old Pillager man was arrested Saturday when authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in May Township in rural Pillager and found several marijuana plants, reported Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch. Burch said the search warrant was pursuant to an ongoing investigation with the Cass County Sheriff's Office and the Pillager Police Department. Several marijuana plants in various stages of growth were located both inside and outside of a residence.
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. -- Fergus Falls city administrator Mark Sievert has resigned. He offered his resignation after the Fergus Falls City Council opened up from a closed session Monday. The council had met in closed session at the end of several meetings for what was marked as a city administrator performance review on the agenda. Per state law, personnel talks are closed. “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working here,” Sievert said. “I’ve enjoyed working with the employees and I will miss them a lot.”
DULUTH, Minn. -- The worker who died Monday in a construction accident on the Bong Bridge linking Duluth and Superior was identified Tuesday as an 18-year-old central Wisconsin man. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Kelsey Hagenson, and reported that he suffered from "multiple blunt force injuries due to a pedestrian-forklift mishap." He died at a Duluth hospital about an hour after the incident.
KEY WEST, Fla. -- A former physician and businessman from Elgin died Sunday afternoon while snorkeling offshore in the Florida Lower Keys. George Hsu, 72, was pronounced dead at the Lower Keys Medical Center, according to a report from the Monroe (Florida) County Sheriff’s Department. An autopsy is being conducted by the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s to determine a cause of death.
