BRAINERD, Minn. -- The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office searched Friday for a possible missing boater on Nokay Lake, east of Brainerd. Capt. Scott Goddard of the sheriff's office said the boat and water division and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources were searching for a 54-year-old Brainerd man. The DNR and later the Minnesota State Patrol assisted from the air, although the man was not located by 7:30 p.m. Friday. Officials withheld the name of the missing man while attempting to contact family members. Goddard said responders would continue the search at daybreak Saturday.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- PGA Tour Champions and Sanford Health announced on Thursday, June 8, a new event is coming to Sioux Falls for the 2018 season. The Sanford Health International Presented by Cambria will be the first-ever PGA Tour Champions event in South Dakota. Minnehaha Country Club will host the Sept. 17-23 event featuring a $1.8 million purse. The PGA Tour Champions features golfers 50 or older.

RED WING, Minn. -- The Red Wing Solid Waste Campus sustained significant damage due to a fire Wednesday night, June 7, according to Red Wing Fire Department. The blaze was reported around 7:45 p.m. inside the facility. No injuries were reported. The scene remained active as of a 9:34 p.m. update Wednesday, and residents were asked to avoid the area around 1873 Bench St. to allow for proper response by fire and police.
EAST GRAND FORKS, Minn.- A man who was injured after falling onto concrete at a home construction site Monday afternoon died Tuesday, authorities said. Lt. Rodney Hajicek of the East Grand Forks Police Department said a 58-year-old man died Tuesday morning at Altru Hospital from injuries sustained at a worksite fall Monday. His name will be released pending family notification, Hajicek said.

COLFAX, N.D. — A Bemidji man escaped his vehicle Saturday, June 3 before it started on fire after it crashed into a bridge, entered the median and crossed lanes of traffic. Georgene Gross, 73, totaled his 2005 Dodge Caravan after becoming "distracted inside the vehicle," reports Sgt. Luke Hendrickson, with the North Dakota State Patrol, in a news release issued Saturday afternoon. Gross began crashing into barriers around 1 p.m., Hendrickson said, when he was traveling southbound on Interstate 29, about 4 miles south of Colfax.
NEW YORK—A Grand Forks native who led Buffalo Wild Wings for more than 20 years is retiring amid a shakeup in the board's leadership and pushback from an activist hedge fund investor. Sally Smith, a University of North Dakota graduate from 1979, announced Friday she will step down as the national restaurant chains president and CEO at the end of the year or "until such time as a successor has been named."
