BEMIDJI -- A Colorado man was sentenced to a month local confinement and ordered to pay more than $8,000 in restitution after he broke into the Windsong Catered Living Facility in April. Sean Foster Heideman, 25, of Westminster, Colo., pleaded guilty to felony first-degree damage to property in October. He was sentenced Monday in Beltrami County District Court to 30 days in the Beltrami County Jail and placed on five years supervised probation. Heideman was ordered to pay $8,105 in restitution and a $500 fine.

BEMIDJI -- The final member of a trio who attempted to transport methamphetamine from the Twin Cities to Red Lake has been sentenced. Delisha Rae Rodriguez, 25, of Minneapolis was sentenced Nov. 10 in Beltrami County District Court to six years in prison for felony first degree drug sale. Rodriguez was arrested in May with Alex Dejesus-Zuniga and Joseph Jacob Thunder III when the Jeep they were in was stopped south of Bemidji on U.S. Highway 71.
BEMIDJI -- A Bemidji man was found guilty of felony terroristic threats Thursday in Beltrami County District Court. Kenneth Oscar Osmundson, 24, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and terroristic threats-reckless disregard after he attempted to kill himself and a passenger by rolling his car on U.S. Highway 2 in July, according to court documents. Osmundson pleaded not guilty to the charges in September. A second-degree assault charge carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine.
BEMIDJI -- One of two men arrested in connection with a shooting near Cass Lake in September has pleaded not guilty to a felony charge. Cory J. Walter Jones, 26, of Cass Lake pleaded not guilty to ineligible person in possession of a firearm in Beltrami County District Court on Nov. 10. Jones was arrested along with Dwight Thomas Jones, 37, of Cass Lake after a witness identified them as the men who shot and assaulted two White Earth men in September. The men reportedly fought over a debt before Dwight allegedly shot one of the men. Dwight Jones fled the scene and was later apprehended.
BLACKDUCK -- Two men linked to a burglary in Blackduck have pleaded not guilty to felony charges. Derick Jay Borntrager, 28, of Hines, and Billie Joe Large, 25, of Bemidji, each entered not guilty pleas in Beltrami County District Court on Nov.
BEMIDJI -- A former resident of Eckles Township has been sentenced to two months in the Beltrami County Jail for an arson charge from 2012. Donald Michael Roy, 39, of Minneapolis pleaded guilty to a felony second-degree arson charge in September. He was sentenced Nov. 10 in Beltrami County District Court to 63 days local confinement and credited with 42 days time served. Roy has been placed on 10 years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine. Roy is accused of intentionally setting fire to a home he was purchasing on the 5000 block of Fireside Drive Northwest in April 2012.
