BEMIDJI—A Bemidji man connected to February thefts from fish houses on Lake Bemidji has been sentenced to less than two months in jail for his part in the crimes. Zachary Glime, 26, was convicted of felony third-degree burglary in Beltrami County District Court on April 13 and sentenced to 42 days local confinement in the Beltrami County Jail. He was credited with 28 days time served. Glime was granted a stay of adjudication for a fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance charge, which upon successful completion of probation, will result in a dismissal of the drug charge.
BAGLEY—Four people have been taken into custody after a methamphetamine lab was discovered at a Bagley residence Thursday. A toddler was found within 5 feet of the lab. Andre Jon Chevalier, 53, Darrin Lee Forsberg, 44, Tambra Ann Laws, 56 and Gabrielle Violet Poitra, 42, all of Bagley were arrested after law enforcement executed a search warrant on the 900 block of Patricia Lane NW in Bagley. Poitra and Forsberg were located in a downstairs bedroom where a one-and-a-half year old girl was found in a playpen.

BEMIDJI—Three Bemidji men accused of shooting BB guns from a car have entered guilty pleas in Beltrami County District Court. Jaylen Ingalls, 19, Christian Schulke, 19 and Carl Pederson, 19 were arrested after approximately 20 property damage complaints were registered with the Bemidji Police Department between the evening of Dec. 27 and morning of Dec. 29. According to court documents, more than 20 vehicles in Bemidji were damaged.
BEMIDJI—The Bemidji Police Department has issued a notification that a level three sex offender moved to Bemidji this week. Gerald Joseph Browneagle, 38, moved to the 600 block of Fourth Street Northwest in Bemidji on Monday, according to a release posted on the Bemidji Police Department's Facebook page Thursday. Browneagle has a history of sexual contact with female victims age 11 to adult, the notification said. Compliance was gained through force and contact included penetration.

HUBBARD COUNTY— A Cass Lake woman is the final person to be sentenced in a 2014 Hubbard County copper theft case. She and two accomplices were connected to theft from a lumber mill in Farden Township in August. Nicole Goose, 25, was convicted of one count of felony aiding and abetting theft in Hubbard County District Court on March 23. Goose was sentenced to 45 days local confinement in the Hubbard County Jail and credited with 31 days time served.

DWI 6:51 p.m. A 66-year-old man was arrested for DWI following a report of a careless vehicle on Roosevelt Road SE that almost struck several pedestrians as well as crossing the center line toward oncoming traffic.
