BEMIDJI -- A Minneapolis woman who attempted to bring methamphetamine to the Red Lake Indian Reservation pleaded guilty Tuesday in Beltrami County District Court to a felony drug sale charge. Delisha Rae Rodriguez, 25, is charged with felony first-degree drug sale, which carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Rodriguez was arrested in May when she and two men were en route from Minneapolis to Red Lake with 43 grams of meth. One of the men, Joseph Jacob Thunder III, 47, of Redby, was sentenced to 69 months in prison in August.
BEMIDJI -- A Walker man is facing felony arson charges after he lit his shirt and a mattress on fire in the Beltrami County Jail. George Skye Tikayne, 20, was arrested for violating conditions of his probation for a second-degree burglary conviction and underage consumption of alcohol on Oct. 6. Tikayne was booked into the Beltrami County Jail and placed in a holding cell.

RED LAKE -- Red Lake Tribal Police arrested a man from Illinois on Tuesday for possession of heroin on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. David Contrell McClure, 22, of Naperville, Ill., had 40 grams of heroin in his possession when officers executed a search warrant at a Little Rock residence Tuesday morning. Officers were searching for narcotics and narcotic trafficking, according to a criminal complaint. Red Lake officers located McClure in a bedroom attempting to hide several micro-baggies containing a large amount of heroin.
