BEMIDJI -- Picture in your mind a homeless person. Now visualize a middle school student retrieving two grocery bags from his locker. The two are one in the same. During Angie Lauderbaugh's five years as homeless student liaison with Bemidji Area Schools, she has worked with many students who don't have a home to go to when the final bell rings. One child was a boy who carried all of his belongings to and from school everyday in plastic grocery bags. He would spend time at the Boys & Girls Club and Evergreen Youth and Family Services shelter outside of school.
