The Beltrami County Attorney's Office is considering charges against a man accused of assaulting two men Tuesday evening at Wal-Mart. He also is suspected of theft and damaging property. He is scheduled to be charged by 11 a.m. today, according to the County Attorney's Office. According to the police report, an assault was reported at 7:28 p.m. Tuesday at Wal-Mart. The incident allegedly began when a man attempted to leave the store and set off the security alarms.
A touching tribute was erected Wednesday in front of Bemidji Fire Hall in honor of the nine firefighters who died battling a blaze Monday in South Carolina. The men who died were fighting a fire at a furniture store warehouse, according to the Associated Press.
