BEMIDJI -- A local grocery store now has a new, specially designed cart available to assist customers who are shopping with someone with special mobility needs. Marketplace Foods now has a Caroline's Cart, a shopping cart designed with a contoured seat in place of the traditional basket seat.

BEMIDJI -- The new meeting room for the Bemidji School Board is now complete, as the tiled floor now boasts the Bemidji High School Lumberjack logo. The blue capital B, complete with the ax down its left edge, was placed at the foot of the entryway into the District Office Board Room, located within district headquarters at 502 Minnesota Ave. NW. Bemidji Area Schools Superintendent Jim Hess said the well-known logo has become much more visible throughout the community since it was added atop the highest point at Bemidji High School a few years ago.

BEMIDJI -- While Minnesota has not had a confirmed case of Enterovirus D68, the respiratory illness that has sickened hundreds of children in other parts of the Midwest, a local pediatrician advises the public to take appropriate steps for prevention.
