FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota teen has pleaded guilty to dealing synthetic drugs that led to the overdose death of a Grand Forks teen. Wesley Sweeney, of Manvel, appeared Friday in federal court. He pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to distribute drugs that resulted in death.
WOODBURY, Minn. (AP) — Authorities say a man who died following a disturbance at a Woodbury motel was shot by police. Officers were called to the Red Roof Inn about 1:10 a.m. Friday. Police say the dispatcher who took the 911 call could hear a struggle in the background and the mention of a weapon.
LORDSTOWN, Ohio (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is drawing attention to the Obama administration's rescue of the auto industry, criticizing GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for opposing a federal bailout of General Motors and Chrysler. OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — A law enforcement official says the gunman who killed two co-workers and himself at a New Jersey supermarket is a former Marine. Twenty-three-year-old Terence Tyler was discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps. in 2010. The military says he never served overseas and would not say whether he was discharged honorably.
BEMIDJI – Paul Bunyan Communications is returning more than $2.1 million to members through its 2012 Capital Credit return, the cooperative announced this week. Paul Bunyan Telephone Cooperative has mailed out capital credit checks representing 50 percent of 1999’s allocation and 20 percent of 2011’s allocation.

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. -- An armed robbery was reported at Premiere Video in Alexandria just before midnight Wednesday. Alexandria police officers responded to a 911 call and were told an employee who was closing up for the night was robbed at gunpoint.
