The Mustangs (4-15, 2-13 NSIC) outscored the Beavers 25-10 in the final stretch to earn their second win in NSIC play. BEMIDJI — The BSU men’s basketball team has won its last seven games overall — the longest streak in nearly a decade — and has won four straight on the road, but this weekend it will face one of its toughest road trips of the 2013-14 season. The trip begins at 8 p.m. tonight against Southwest Minnesota State (13-7, 10-4 NSIC) in Marshall. The Mustangs are 8-2 at home this season with wins over Winona State, Northern State and MSU Moorhead. Saturday’s contest with Sioux Falls (9-9, 6-8 NSIC) does not get any easier.

MINOT, N.D. -- Christina and Carly Boag combined to score 54 points for Minot State in a 94-84 win over BSU Saturday. Christina led the way with 29 points and Carly added 25 to guide Minot State to its sixth win in its last seven games. Three-pointers from Hanna Zerr and Morgan Lee highlighted an 11-0 run that helped BSU gain an 11-4 lead after just three minutes of play. The seven games is the longest winning streak for the BSU program since the 2004-05 season.
