Public Service: ‘We can do better’ Local female leaders make the case for more women in influential positions

The series will feature six presentations starting with Brenda Child, a University of Minnesota historian, at 6 p.m. Monday at the Bemidji Public Library. Child will be discussing “Strong Women/Strong Nations: Ojibwe Women at Work,” based on her book, “My Grandfather’s Knocking Sticks: Ojibwe Family Life and Labor on the Reservation.”
