U.S. Navy combat veteran Chris Ring is swimming the mighty Mississippi River to raise awareness for representing Legacies Alive, an organization that helps veterans. On Tuesday afternoon,  he started out from the Iron Bridge heading to Bemidji. Earlier in the day he talked to local veterans and residents in Bemidji about the Legacies Alive challenges, which aim to honor and bring awareness to American families who have lost military members.play button
