Brainerd firefighters battle the bitter cold early Sunday morning while extinguishing a structure fire at a residence on the 10000 block of Heron Street in Barrows, just south of Brainerd. The Nisswa Fire Department provided mutual aid. According to the National Weather Service, the temperature with the wind chill factor was 30 below zero during the time of the fire. With this year's crop of pumpkins packed outside the home of Nicole O'Day, firefighters from four departments work to extinguish the second fire in two days at AMAZE-N-PUMPKINS, located two miles east of Nisswa Wednesday.
