The driver of a Ford Ranger lost control of her vehicle on icy roads on U.S. Highway 2 bypass around 10:15 a.m. Monday. The accident totaled the vehicle, which hit a cable fence in the median. Local newspaper delivery driver remembered for keeping a safe eye on Bemidjji

A trailer home on the 1000 block of Washington Avenue Southeast was fully engulfed in flames upon the arrival of the Bemidji Fire Department at about 1 a.m. Saturday. Twenty-seven Bemidji firefighters responded with six trucks and were on scene until 2:50 a.m. The home had been unoccupied for about a year.
