Customers line up as Last Place on Earth owner Jim Carlson talks about his experience of being arrested at his store on Superior Street in downtown Duluth in April. Carlson was released on $480,000 bail after being arrested on three counts of fourth degree sale of an illegal substance. In July a judge ordered the store shut down. On Oct. 7 Carlson was convicted on 51 federal charges. He is curring in the Sherburne County Jail awaiting sentencing. Clint Austin / Forum News Service
