Minnesota State Trooper Sgt. Jesse Grabow, was recently awarded a life saving award for rescuing a woman from a vehicle in danger of being submerged in a lake near Alexandria in November. This award is presented to members of the state patrol who distinguish themselves by performing acts that prevent the death of another. Also receiving this award was Trooper Chris Halder. The Blackduck Lions recently purchased an art table and a lighted magnifying desk lamp to help Dominick Haro, a sight impaired Blackduck Elementary fifth grader with his school work. The club heard about Dominick's need through Lion Jim Gorman's membership in the  Minnesota Lions Eye Bank's Board of Directors. Blackduck Lions President Dwight Warden and Lion Jim Gorman are pictured with Dominick and the art table.
