As Asher Kingery reads to his daughter, Harper, her mom, Marlie, keeps a watchful eye on her newborn, who was born on New Year’s Day at Sanford Bemidji Medical Center. The book, “Baby Eye Like,” was given to the new parents through the Friends of the Bemidji Public Library’s Books for Babies program, which aims to provide free board books to new parents throughout the Bemidji area.
