The Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department said that concrete pouring at Paul Bunyan Park could be completed by Thursday. The area in front of the iconic statues of Paul and Babe sparked controversy this summer when original plans for renovations called for an earthen mound in front of the famous lumberjack and his trusted ox.
