MONTE DRAPER | BEMIDJI PIONEER
Erika Malo and Peer Halvorson sift through dirt along Library Park on Tuesday afternoon as part of a program to ensure
cultural artifacts and resources are protected in preparation of next spring's renovation of the Paul Bunyan and Library parks. The archaeologists conduct 16 shovel tests per acre and ask that the public not disturb their work, which should be completed by the end of the week.
