VOLLEYBALL: BHS secures first win
ST. CLOUD -- The Bemidji High School volleyball team earned its first win of the season Tuesday night with a 3-1 road win over St. Cloud Tech.
“We played with a lot of confidence this game,” BHS head coach Alicia Kriens said. “For being a young group, we really took ahold of the game right at the beginning and went on a run 5-0 to start it. They really played together as a team.”
The Lumberjacks (1-2) won the first set 25-10, dropped the second 18-25 and cleaned up from there with scores of 25-20 and 25-12 to hand Kriens her first win as the team’s head coach.
“It feels pretty good,” Kriens said of the achievement. “We played really well. I’m very proud of them.”
