SWIMMING: Bemidji falls at Fargo
FARGO, N.D. -- The Bemidji High School boys swimming and diving team fell 109-74 in a dual meet with Fargo South Tuesday night.
The Lumberjacks were victorious in three events on the night.
Cameron Munter took first place in the diving competition with a score of 273.8 and was followed by Haakan and Brekt Thorsgard in second and third place with scores of 230.45 and 195.9, respectively.
Luke Yartz edged Massimo Sassi by .35 seconds to win the 200 free with a time of 1:59.07. Yartz and his teammates (Gabe Goodwin, Sam Hendricks and Nikita Graves) on the 400 free relay team also claimed first place by clocking a time of 3:36.32.
Bemidji will return to the pool Thursday, Feb. 1, at Park Rapids. The meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
