Jackie Robertson is new Bemidji High School girls hockey coach

BEMIDJI — Jackie Robertson is the new varsity girls hockey coach at Bemidji High School.

Robertson succeeds Bob Brink who stepped down earlier this year so he could spend more time with his family.

Robertson is a physical education teacher at Northern Elementary and also was an assistant coach with the Bemidji junior varsity team. She is graduate of Bemidji State University and was a member of the BSU women’s hockey team, playing 144 games in four years and serving as captain her senior season.

“My immediate goals are to develop a staff, meet the girls and create a summer training program,” Robertson said.

“I’m very excited,” Robertson continued. “Being a head coach will be new for me but I’m fortunate that I am inheriting a good group of girls and a team with a good group of leaders.”
